R.Saminathan is a Die Casting Consultant and Trainer in the Aluminium and Zinc process (HPDC). He is a seasoned professional who has worked in various areas like Production, Process Engineering, Tool Maintenance, NPD, Machine Maintenance and Operations.
He has completed his Diploma in Mechanical Engineering in the year 1991 from SS Polytechnic, Sirkali-Puthur and completed his MBA (Operations) from Jaro Education and Ulyanovsk State University, Russia in the year 2015 through distance education.
He started his career as a Production Engineering Trainee and was promoted to Senior Level due to his sincere and hardworking nature. He is well experienced in the Die Casting field for more than 27 years and has worked with well established die casting industries like ELTEX Rudy Ltd - Coimbatore, Pioneer Die Casting Industries - Malaysia, Gplast (p)ltd Coimbatore, CRP (India) pvt ltd - Chennai, Sandhar Technologies ltd - Bawal and Endurance Technologies ltd- Chennai.
He is well experienced in Practical as well as in Theoretical and Acquired knowledge from FRECH Germany in Tool Design and Process Design in Aluminium and Zinc process in Cold Chamber as well as in Hot Chamber. He has constructed many HPDC tools for Cold Chamber and Hot Chamber process for thin walled, medium and thick walled castings which has given good output, yield and less rejections with all customer requirements.
He has handled cold chamber machine capacities up to 1600 tons locking force and brands such as Buhler, Frech, UBE, Toshiba, Toyo, Zitai, LK, HMT and with local machines also well experienced in hot chamber machines of the brand FRECH and Producer. He has handled PDC shops with 20 machines and 8000TPA of Aluminium with over 120 crore turnover per year.
He has supported many OEM's from scratch for their new casting development such as Husco Hydraulics, HP, TVS, Bosch and worked with many overseas customers in Europe, USA, Japan etc in the field of Automotive, Electrical & Electronics, Structural, Textiles, Tractor, Agricultural and Aerospace applications.
Mr. Saminathan has supported Die Casting Manufacturers to improve their profitability by productivity improvement, rejection control, cycle time reduction, energy saving and developing skilled PDC personnel.
Currently he is supporting Die Casting Manufacturers and end users in Consulting and Die Casting employees for Skill Development.
He is the member of Alucast,GDC TECH, IIF and Nadca.
